A few months ago, the wonderful author and staff writer for the The New Yorker, Rachel Syme, put out a call for pen pals via twitter. Obviously I accepted.
She was kind enough to post pictures on twitter of the stationary I created.
Here’s a little tour of it.
There’s more to this card than meets the eye. Inside is a tiny envelope.
And inside the envelope, a key to something beautiful…

What’s inside the tiny piece of key stationary?
Another even tinier envelope, and the call number to a rare and beautiful book housed at the Schwartzman building of the New York Public Library. If you ever get a chance to read this book, please take advantage. It is a treasure! Not pictured, a very small temporary tattoo inside the heart envelope.
And on back of the main piece of stationary…

my favorite, a secret pocket.
A very special thank you to Rachel Syme for the shout out.
